For all you knitters out there, Jimmy Beans Wool is hosting a Knit-A-Long featuring our very own Anna Cowl pattern. A Knit-A-Long is a project-based knitting circle that is hosted among either local knitting groups or wider online communities. This Knit-A-Long for the Swans Island Anna Cowl will be hosted on the Jimmy Beans Wool blog and on their Ravelry Discussion Board.
For more information on the Knit-Along, which runs January 25 through mid-February, visit the JBW website at www.jimmybeanswool.com. Our blogger and head of yarn sales, Irene, will be casting on for the Knit-A-Long. Let us know if you'll be joining the Knit-A-Long, too. Or send us photos of your finished cowls.
Speaking of Jimmy Beans Wool, we’re thrilled to be participating in their Stitch Red campaign, a cooperative effort among companies and people striving to put an end to heart disease. In support of The Heart Truth® and the Stitch Red campaign, Swans Island will donate 5% of profits from our Natural Yarn in fingering weight. For more information on Stitch Red, visit www.stitchred.com.
Happy Knitting!

If you have any plans to visit Maine this year, please include us in your itinerary. On the way up you could stop in Freeport to visit the Thomas Moser store where our blankets are on display, or even stay at the Harraseeket Inn’s new Moser-furnished suite, where you can sleep under a beautiful Swans Island blanket.
